Detox Nurse
Detox nurse, also referred to as substance abuse nurse or an addiction nurse, specializes in the treatment of patients addicted to drugs, alcohol or other substances. Detox nurses have completed a BSN degree and are trained in mental health or some become Certified Addiction Registered Nurse. Their duties include providing direct patient care to individuals with substance abuse and addiction, assisting physicians in developing treatment plans, performing patient assessments, monitoring a patient’s progress and administering medications and pain management services. They also conduct mental health screenings and provide emotional support for patients and their families. Detox nurses provide pain management, education for patients and caregivers about the dangers of substance abuse and emotional support to patients in crisis.

Our first requirement is 1 year of acute care experience within the last 3 years. Before beginning your application, you will need to have detailed information regarding your Credentials, Employment History, Professional References and Education.
